THE FACILITY FOR PRINTING TEXTS FROM THIS WEBSITE IS AVAILABLE ON A SUBSCRIPTION BASIS (SEE SECTION BELOW). THERE IS A TEST PAGE HERE IF YOU WISH TO TRY IT OUT BEFORE SUBSCRIBING. THERE IS NO NEED TO HAVE ANY SPECIAL FONTS INSTALLED AND PRINT QUALITY SHOULD BE SUPERIOR TO WHAT APPEARS ON SOME SCREEN REPRESENTATIONS. THE PAGES HAVE BEEN TESTED WITH INTERNET EXPLORER 6 , 7 & 8, FIREFOX 2 & 3 AND SAFARI 4.
A summary of important print settings is:- Under "Page Setup" for your browser, the page size should be "Letter" or "A4" (for which the pages are optimised - smaller sizes will cause problems). With Internet Explorer 6 and Firefox all margins should be set to "4mm" (or equivalent). With Internet Explorer 7 you may need to set the margins to "12mm" if you wish to avoid an additional blank page printing at the end. You can use the "Print Preview" facility on some browser to check how the printout will appear and this may also enable you to adjust margins and insert any headers and footers you desire. Detailed instructions for Internet Explorer and Firefox can be found through the link here. Other browsers and Operating Systems have not been tested by the Webmaster. If any printable pages do not function as they should then please contact the webmaster through the email link on the site homepage.
SUBSCRIPTIONS INFORMATION
All texts on the site are available for printing out through taking out a subscription. Follow the "Printable Version of Text" link from each text page and you will be taken to the signup page. If you just want to print out one or two texts then take out one of the lower priced subscriptions which will give you access for three days to the "Creeds and Councils", "Greek Writers" or "Latin Writers" section. It is clearly indicated on each page which section the text is included in. If you want the option, as an individual, to print out any text over a longer period then take out the "Print All Site Texts - Individual (1 year)" subscription. If you are a college or institution and you would like to have access to the printable texts for a year then take out the "Print All Site Texts for Colleges and Institutions (1 year)" subscription. More details and costs are given below.
On sign up you choose a username and password which will give you access for the duration of you subscription period. The same username and password can be used each time another subscription is taken out. Payments are processed securely through "Paypal". (You don't have to have a Paypal account.)
When you have signed up and if you have a "current subscription" you will be able to access the printable page direct from the "Printable Version of Text" link.
